As standard, the blast rooms are supplied with complete wall and door protection, integrated lighting, and can be equipped with doors, gates, and safety interlocks that automatically stop blasting when access points are opened. Exhaust labyrinths, fresh air intake systems, and fully integrated abrasive recovery solutions can be incorporated to create a controlled, safe, and efficient environment for high-quality surface preparation.

How Do Blast Room Systems Work?

Abrasive blast rooms are enclosed environments designed to contain abrasive blasting operations while controlling dust, airflow, and media recovery. Parts are placed inside the room, and blasting is performed manually or automatically using pressurized abrasive and compressed air.
During blasting, the room ventilation system creates controlled airflow that pulls airborne dust and fine particles away from the operator and work surface. Dust laden air is routed to a dust collection system where contaminants are filtered out, allowing clean air to be exhausted or recirculated back into the room.
Spent abrasive falls to the floor and is collected by a floor recovery system, which transports the media to a separator. Reusable abrasive is cleaned and returned to the blast pot, while dust and debris are removed. By integrating containment, ventilation, dust collection, and media recycling, abrasive blast rooms provide a safe, efficient, and repeatable surface preparation environment.
