Munkebo is widely known for its pioneering work with the Munkebo Vacuum Systems, becoming an early leader in Roots blower vacuum technology (positive displacement pump).

The company began as a supplier to the local shipyard, delivering equipment for steel grit handling, and has since grown into a global provider serving multiple heavy industries.
